Method

Cocktail

1

Measure and combine

Add 2 oz Campo Azul Tequila, 1 oz Cappelletti Aperitivo, 0.5 oz orgeat, and 0.75 oz fresh lemon juice into a cocktail shaker. If you prefer a slightly sweeter drink, add 0.25 oz simple syrup. Add 2 dashes bitters if using.

2

Add ice and shake

Fill the shaker with ice (enough to fill about two-thirds of the shaker). Secure the lid and shake vigorously for 12–15 seconds until the shaker is well chilled and slightly frosted.

3

Prepare glass

If using a rocks glass, place a large ice cube into the glass. For a coupe, no ice in the glass is needed.

4

Strain

Double-strain the cocktail into the prepared glass using a fine strainer (if available) to remove small ice shards and any pulp from the lemon.

5

Garnish

Express the oils of a lemon twist over the drink and wipe the twist around the rim, then drop the twist into the glass or rest a lemon wheel on the rim.

6

Serve

Serve immediately while cold. Suggest pairing with light appetizers or enjoying as an aperitivo.

Notes

7

Adjust orgeat and lemon balance to taste β€” orgeat brings almond and floral notes that counter the bitter-sweet Cappelletti and bright lemon. Use reposado tequila for a touch of oak/vanilla or blanco for a brighter agave presence.
