Seafood and Pasta
Method
Cooking Instructions
- 1
Cook the Pasta
Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the spaghetti and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water, then drain the rest and set aside.
- 2
Prepare the Seafood
In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and red pepper flakes, sautéing for about 1 minute until fragrant.
- 3
Add White Wine
Pour in the white wine, allowing it to simmer for about 3 minutes to reduce slightly.
- 4
Add Shellfish and Calamari
Add clams, mussels, shrimp, and calamari to the skillet. Cover and cook for about 5-7 minutes, or until the clams and mussels have opened and the shrimp are cooked through.
- 5
Incorporate Marinara Sauce
Stir in the marinara sauce and a bit of reserved pasta water if the mixture is too dry. Let it simmer for another 3-4 minutes.
- 6
Combine with Pasta
Add the drained spaghetti to the skillet, tossing everything together until well combined. Adjust seasoning with salt and black pepper to taste.
- 7
Garnish and Serve
Remove from heat, garnish with chopped fresh parsley, and serve immediately.
