Method

Crepe Preparation

  1. 1

    Make the Crepe Batter

In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, sugar, and salt. In another bowl, beat the eggs and then add the milk and vanilla extract, mixing well.

  2. 2

    Combine and Blend

Gradually pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients, whisking until smooth and there are no lumps. Allow the batter to rest for at least 30 minutes.

  3. 3

    Heat the Pan

In a non-stick skillet or crepe pan, melt 1 tablespoon of butter over medium heat. Swirl the butter to coat the surface.

  4. 4

    Cook the Crepes

Pour about 1/4 cup of batter into the pan, tilting it to spread the batter evenly. Cook for about 1-2 minutes until the edges start to lift and the bottom is lightly golden. Flip and cook the other side for another minute. Repeat with the remaining batter, adding butter as needed.

Filling and Serving

  1. 5

    Fill the Crepes

Spread about 2 tablespoons of Nutella onto one half of each crepe. Fold the crepe in half over the Nutella, and then fold in half again to form a triangle.

  2. 6

    Plate and Garnish

Place the filled crepe on a serving plate. Dust with powdered sugar and serve with a scoop of Vanilla Gelato or Amarena Cherry Gelato on the side.
