Reserve Pasta Water
Before draining the pasta, reserve about 1 cup of the pasta cooking water. Then, drain the linguine and set aside.
Clams and Sauce

Clean the Clams
Rinse the manila clams under cold water, scrubbing the shells with a brush to remove any dirt or sand. Discard any clams that are open and do not close when tapped.

Sauté Garlic
In a large skillet or pan, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1-2 minutes until it becomes fragrant but not browned.

Add Clams and Wine
Add the cleaned clams to the skillet along with the dry white wine and red pepper flakes. Cover the pan and cook for about 5-7 minutes, or until the clams open up.

Season and Serve
Stir in the chopped fresh parsley and season with black pepper to taste. Serve immediately in bowls, ensuring each serving has plenty of clams and sauce.
