Method
Cooking the Fettuccine

Boil Water
In a large pot, bring water to a boil. Add salt to the boiling water.

Cook Pasta
Add fettuccine to the boiling water and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
Making the Bolognese Sauce

Heat Oil
In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat.

Add Garlic
Stir in minced garlic and cook for an additional minute until fragrant.

Cook Meats
Add ground beef, pork, and lamb to the skillet. Cook until browned, breaking up the meat as it cooks, about 8-10 minutes.

Add Wine
Pour in red wine and let it simmer for about 5 minutes, allowing the alcohol to evaporate.

Add Tomatoes and Seasonings
Stir in crushed tomatoes, oregano, basil, salt, and black pepper. Bring to a simmer.

Simmer Sauce
Reduce heat to low and let the sauce simmer for at least 30 minutes to allow flavors to develop, stirring occasionally.
Serving

Combine and Serve
Toss the cooked fettuccine with the Bolognese sauce until well coated. Serve hot, topped with shaved Parmesan cheese.
