Method

Preparation of Chicken Cutlet

  1. 1

    Prepare the Chicken

Start by placing the chicken breasts between two pieces of plastic wrap. Use a meat mallet or rolling pin to pound the chicken to about 1/2 inch thickness.

  2. 2

    Season the Chicken

Sprinkle salt and black pepper on both sides of the chicken breasts to taste.

  3. 3

    Set Up Breading Station

In three separate shallow dishes, place the all-purpose flour in one, beaten eggs in another, and breadcrumbs in the third.

  4. 4

    Bread the Chicken

Coat each chicken breast first in flour, tapping off excess, then dip into the beaten eggs, and finally coat with breadcrumbs. Ensure even coverage.

Cooking the Chicken Cutlet

  1. 5

    Heat the Oil

In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat until shimmering.

  2. 6

    Cook the Chicken

Carefully place the breaded chicken cutlets into the skillet. Cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side or until golden brown and cooked through.

  3. 7

    Drain the Chicken

Once cooked, transfer the chicken cutlets to a plate lined with paper towels to drain excess oil.

Assemble the Cutlet

  1. 8

    Prepare the Toppings

While the chicken is draining, wash the lettuce leaves and slice the tomato.

  2. 9

    Assemble the Sandwich

On a serving plate, place a chicken cutlet, top it with lettuce leaves, tomato slices, and a generous spread of mayonnaise.

  3. 10

    Serve

Serve the chicken cutlet warm with your choice of side dishes.
