Topping
Method
Malabi Preparation
- 1
Combine Ingredients
In a saucepan, combine the milk, sugar, cornstarch, orange blossom water, and a pinch of salt. Whisk together until smooth and well-blended.
- 2
Cook the Mixture
Place the saucepan over medium heat and cook the mixture, stirring continuously until it thickens and starts to bubble, about 5-7 minutes.
- 3
Chill the Malabi
Once thickened, remove from heat and pour the mixture into serving cups or small bowls. Allow to cool at room temperature for 10 minutes, then refrigerate for at least 2 hours to set.
Topping Preparation
- 4
Prepare the Topping
While the malabi is chilling, prepare the topping. Dice the persimmons and chop the walnuts. In a small bowl, mix together the diced persimmons, chopped walnuts, honey, and cinnamon.
- 5
Serve
Once the malabi has set, remove it from the refrigerator and spoon the persimmon-walnut mixture on top of each serving. Drizzle with additional honey if desired.
