Hummus

Laffa Bread

Method

Hummus

  1. 1

    Prepare the Chickpeas

Drain and rinse the canned chickpeas under cold water, then add them to a food processor.

  2. 2

    Add Ingredients

Add tahini, garlic cloves, lemon juice, olive oil, cumin, salt, and water to the food processor with the chickpeas.

  3. 3

    Blend the Mixture

Blend the mixture until smooth. If the hummus is too thick, add more water, one tablespoon at a time, until the desired consistency is achieved.

  4. 4

    Serve

Transfer the hummus to a serving bowl, drizzle with olive oil, and sprinkle paprika on top.

Laffa Bread

  1. 5

    Mix the Dough

In a large bowl, combine flour, instant yeast, and salt. Gradually add warm water and olive oil, mixing until a dough forms.

  2. 6

    Knead the Dough

Turn the dough onto a floured surface and knead for about 8-10 minutes until it becomes smooth and elastic.

  3. 7

    Let the Dough Rise

Place the dough in a lightly oiled bowl, cover it with a damp cloth, and let it rise in a warm area for about 1 hour or until it doubles in size.

  4. 8

    Shape the Laffa

Punch down the risen dough and divide it into 4 equal portions. Roll each portion into a ball, then flatten them into round discs about 1/4 inch thick.

  5. 9

    Cook the Laffa

Preheat a skillet or griddle over medium-high heat. Cook each disc for about 2-3 minutes on each side or until it puffs up and has golden brown spots.

  6. 10

    Serve Warm

Remove from heat and cover with a cloth to keep warm. Serve the laffa bread with the hummus.
