Traditional Japanese soup with tofu and seaweed.

In a pot, bring 4 cups of water to a boil. Add the Dashi and reduce heat to simmer.

Prepare Dashi

Add the dried seaweed (Wakame) to the pot and let it soak in the hot water for about 5 minutes.

Add Seaweed

In a small bowl, mix the miso paste with a ladle of the hot broth until smooth. Then stir it back into the pot.

Cut the silken tofu into small cubes and gently add it to the soup. Heat for an additional 2-3 minutes.

Chop the green onions and sprinkle them on top of the soup before serving.
