Preparation and Cooking

  1. 1

    Prepare the Filling

In a mixing bowl, combine ground pork, chopped cabbage, green onions, minced garlic, grated ginger, soy sauce, sesame oil, salt, and pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are thoroughly combined.

  2. 2

    Fill the Gyoza

Place a gyoza wrapper on a clean surface. Spoon about 1 tablespoon of the filling into the center of the wrapper. Dip your finger in water and moisten the edges of the wrapper. Fold the wrapper in half to create a half-moon shape and press the edges together to seal. You can create pleats for a decorative touch.

  3. 3

    Cook the Gyoza

Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat and add a little oil. Once hot, place the gyoza in the skillet and cook for about 2-3 minutes or until the bottom is golden brown. Add 100 ml of water to the skillet and cover immediately with a lid. Steam the gyoza for about 5-7 minutes or until the water has evaporated.

  4. 4

    Serve

Remove the lid and let the gyoza cook for an additional minute to make the bottoms crispy. Serve hot with dipping sauce.
