West-Coast Burger Sauce
Method
Cooking Instructions
Prepare Miso Onions
Slice the onion thinly. Heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat, add onions, and sauté until soft. Stir in miso paste and cook for an additional 2 minutes until well combined.
Make West-Coast Burger Sauce
In a bowl, mix mayonnaise, ketchup, Dijon mustard, garlic powder, and paprika. Set aside.
Cook the Burgers
Divide the ground beef into two equal patties. Season with salt and pepper. Heat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat and cook the patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side or until desired doneness. Place a slice of American cheese on each patty in the last minute of cooking to melt.
Assemble the Burger
Toast the burger buns lightly. Spread a generous amount of the West-Coast burger sauce on the bottom bun, add a patty with melted cheese, top with miso onions and pickles, then finish with the top bun.
