Method

Bread Pudding Directions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Bread

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Tear the stale bread into bite-sized pieces and place them in a large mixing bowl.

  2. 2

    Mix the Custard

In a separate bowl, whisk together the milk, heavy cream, sugar, eggs, vanilla extract, and cinnamon until well combined.

  3. 3

    Combine and Add Peaches

Pour the custard mixture over the bread pieces, ensuring all the bread is soaked. Gently fold in the diced peaches.

  4. 4

    Bake the Pudding

Transfer the mixture to a greased baking dish. Bake in the preheated oven for 45-50 minutes, or until the top is golden and a knife inserted in the center comes out clean.

Caramel Sauce Directions

  1. 5

    Prepare Caramel

In a medium saucepan over medium heat, melt the sugar, stirring constantly until it turns a golden brown color.

  2. 6

    Add Butter and Cream

Once the sugar is melted, add the butter and stir until melted. Slowly whisk in the heavy cream and salt, cooking for an additional 2-3 minutes.

  3. 7

    Cool the Sauce

Remove from heat and allow to cool slightly before serving.

Serving Directions

  1. 8

    Serve the Dish

Scoop a generous portion of peach bread pudding onto a plate, drizzle with warm caramel sauce, and top with a scoop of vanilla bean ice cream.
