Spiced Walnuts

Method

Gnocchi Preparation

  1. 1

    Cook the Potatoes

Boil the russet potatoes in salted water until tender, about 20-25 minutes. Drain and let cool slightly.

  2. 2

    Mash the Potatoes

Peel the potatoes and mash them in a large bowl until smooth. Allow to cool completely.

  3. 3

    Make the Dough

Add flour, egg, and salt to the mashed potatoes. Mix until a soft dough forms. Avoid overworking to keep the gnocchi light.

  4. 4

    Shape the Gnocchi

Divide the dough into sections. Roll each section into a long rope (about 1/2 inch thick) and cut into 1-inch pieces. Use a fork to create ridges if desired.

  5. 5

    Cook the Gnocchi

Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the gnocchi in batches until they float to the surface, about 2-3 minutes. Remove with a slotted spoon.

Roasted Chicken

  1. 6

    Preheat the Oven

Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).

  2. 7

    Season the Chicken

Rub the chicken breasts with olive oil, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper.

  3. 8

    Roast the Chicken

Place the seasoned chicken on a baking sheet and roast in the oven for about 25-30 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C). Remove and let rest.

Gorgonzola Cream Sauce

  1. 9

    Sauté Garlic

In a saucepan, heat a little olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute.

  2. 10

    Make the Cream Sauce

Add heavy cream, gorgonzola cheese, salt, and black pepper to the pan. Stir until the cheese is melted and the sauce is creamy.

Spinach Preparation

  1. 11

    Sauté the Spinach

In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add fresh spinach and salt. Sauté until wilted, about 3-4 minutes.

Spiced Walnuts

  1. 12

    Prepare the Walnuts

In a skillet over medium heat, combine walnuts, brown sugar, cinnamon, and salt.

  2. 13

    Toast the Walnuts

Cook for about 5-7 minutes, stirring frequently, until the walnuts are toasted and caramelized. Remove from heat.
