Method

Prepare the Croutons

  1. 1

    Make the Croutons

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Cut the bread slices into small cubes. In a bowl, combine the bread cubes with olive oil, garlic powder, and dried Italian herbs. Toss until the bread is evenly coated.

  2. 2

Spread the seasoned bread cubes on a baking sheet in a single layer. Bake in the preheated oven for about 10-15 minutes, or until golden and crispy, stirring halfway through for even cooking.

  3. 3

Once done, remove from the oven and let cool while you prepare the salad.

Prepare the Salad

  1. 4

    Chop the Romaine

While the croutons are baking, wash and dry the romaine lettuce. Chop it into bite-sized pieces and place it in a large salad bowl.

  2. 5

    Add Parmesan Cheese

Grate the Parmesan cheese and sprinkle it over the romaine lettuce.

  3. 6

    Dress the Salad

Drizzle the Caesar dressing over the lettuce and cheese. Toss gently to coat all the ingredients evenly.

  4. 7

    Top with Croutons

Just before serving, add the cooled croutons on top of the salad for crunch.
