Burger Patty

Toppings

Method

Preparing the Burger Patty

  1. 1

    Combine Ingredients

In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, salt, and black pepper. Mix gently to avoid overworking the meat.

  2. 2

    Form Patties

Divide the mixture into two equal portions and shape them into 8 oz patties. Make a slight indentation in the center of each patty to prevent it from puffing up while cooking.

Cooking the Burger

  1. 3

    Preheat Grill

Preheat your wood grill to medium-high heat.

  2. 4

    Grill the Patties

Place the patties on the grill and cook for about 4-5 minutes on one side. Flip the patties and place a slice of cheddar cheese on top. Cook for an additional 4-5 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C) for medium doneness.

Assembling the Burger

  1. 5

    Prepare the Buns

While the patties are grilling, cut the brioche buns in half and toast them lightly on the grill until golden brown.

  2. 6

    Slice the Tomato and Onion

Thinly slice the tomato and onion while the buns are toasting.

  3. 7

    Build the Burger

On the bottom half of each toasted brioche bun, place a lettuce leaf, followed by the grilled patty with melted cheese, tomato slices, pickles, and onion slices. Top with the other half of the bun.
