For one serving (chilled Coca-Cola)

For a pitcher (approximately 8 servings)

Optional enhancements

Method

Single glass preparation

1

Chill glass and ice

If you prefer your Coca-Cola very cold, place the glass in the freezer for 5–10 minutes or fill it with ice for 1–2 minutes and discard that ice. Add 6 fresh ice cubes to the serving glass.

2

Pour

Open a 12 fl oz can or bottle of Coca-Cola. Hold the glass at a slight angle and pour the Coca-Cola gently down the side of the glass to reduce excessive foaming. Fill to about 1/2 inch from the rim.

3

Garnish and serve

Optionally squeeze a lemon or lime wedge over the surface, drop the wedge into the glass, or add a maraschino cherry. For a minty note, slap 4–6 fresh mint leaves between your palms to release aroma and add to the glass. Serve immediately with a straw or stirrer.

Pitcher preparation (approx. 8 servings)

4

Chill the 2 L bottle of Coca-Cola in the refrigerator until cold (at least 2 hours) or place unopened bottle in an ice bath for 20–30 minutes. Chill the pitcher if desired.

5

Fill a clean pitcher with about 4 cups of ice. Slowly pour the chilled Coca-Cola into the pitcher over the ice to minimize foam. Leave a little headspace at the top.

6

Add 4 lemon or lime slices to the pitcher for brightness, or add optional enhancements: 6 mint leaves (slapped), 1 tsp vanilla syrup for a creamy twist, or a few maraschino cherries. Stir gently once to distribute; avoid vigorous stirring to preserve carbonation.

7

Serve immediately into chilled glasses filled with fresh ice, pouring gently to reduce foaming.

Storage and handling

8

Opened bottles or cans: refrigerate after opening and consume within 24–48 hours for best carbonation and flavor. Keep the cap on the bottle to slow carbonation loss. Avoid freezing—expansion will cause container damage and degrade flavor.

9

Leftovers in pitcher: cover and refrigerate; expect noticeable loss of carbonation after several hours. Best consumed the same day.
