Chicken Marinade
Sandwich Assembly
Method
Chicken Marinade Preparation
- 1
Prepare the Marinade
In a large bowl, combine the BBQ sauce, olive oil, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are fully incorporated.
- 2
Marinate the Chicken
Add the boneless, skinless chicken breasts to the marinade, ensuring each piece is well coated. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, or up to 4 hours for best flavor.
Grilling the Chicken
- 3
Preheat the Grill
Preheat your grill to medium-high heat (about 375°F to 450°F or 190°C to 232°C).
- 4
Grill the Chicken
Remove the chicken from the marinade, allowing excess marinade to drip off. Place the chicken breasts on the grill and cook for about 6-7 minutes on each side, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).
Sandwich Assembly
- 5
Assemble the Sandwich
Once the chicken is grilled, place each piece on the bottom half of a burger bun. Top each piece of chicken with 2 slices of cheddar cheese, followed by a lettuce leaf, a slice of tomato, a few slices of red onion, and pickles.
- 6
Serve
Cover the sandwich with the top half of the bun, slice in half if desired, and serve warm. Enjoy your Wilma's Grilled Chicken Sando!
