Bread

Caramelized Peaches

Candied Pecans

Method

Bread Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Egg Mixture

In a bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, vanilla extract, and cinnamon until well combined.

  2. 2

    Soak the Brioche

Dip each slice of brioche into the egg mixture, ensuring both sides are coated. Allow to soak for a few seconds.

  3. 3

    Cook the French Toast

In a skillet over medium heat, melt 1 tablespoon of butter. Add the soaked brioche slices and cook for 3-4 minutes on each side or until golden brown. Repeat with remaining slices.

Caramelized Peaches

  1. 4

    Prepare the Peaches

While the French toast is cooking, slice the peaches into wedges.

  2. 5

    Caramelize the Peaches

In a separate skillet, melt 1 tablespoon of butter over medium heat. Add the sliced peaches and sprinkle with brown sugar. Cook for about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the peaches are soft and caramelized.

Candied Pecans

  1. 6

    Prepare the Pecans

In a small saucepan, combine the pecans, granulated sugar, cinnamon, and water. Cook over medium heat.

  2. 7

    Candy the Pecans

Stir continuously until the sugar dissolves and the mixture begins to bubble. Continue to cook for about 5-7 minutes until the pecans are coated and caramelized. Remove from heat and let cool on parchment paper.

Whipped Cream

  1. 8

    Make the Whipped Cream

In a mixing bowl, combine the heavy whipping cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract. Using a hand mixer or whisk, whip until soft peaks form.
