Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Cook the Flank Steak

Season the flank steak with salt, black pepper, and garlic powder. Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add the flank steak and cook for about 5-7 minutes per side until it reaches your desired doneness. Let it rest for 5 minutes, then slice thinly.

  2. 2

    Prepare the Filling

In a mixing bowl, combine the sliced flank steak, roasted red bell peppers, and provolone cheese. Mix well to combine all ingredients thoroughly.

Assembling the Eggrolls

  1. 3

    Fill the Egg Roll Wrappers

Lay an egg roll wrapper on a clean surface with one corner pointing towards you. Place about 2 tablespoons of the filling mixture in the center. Fold the bottom corner over the filling, then fold in the sides and roll tightly to form an egg roll. Seal the edges with a little water.

  2. 4

    Repeat the Process

Repeat the filling and rolling process with the remaining egg roll wrappers and filling.

Cooking

  1. 5

    Heat the Oil

In a deep frying pan or pot, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).

  2. 6

    Fry the Eggrolls

Carefully add the egg rolls to the hot oil, frying them in batches to avoid overcrowding. Fry for about 3-4 minutes or until golden brown and crispy. Use tongs to turn them halfway through for even cooking.

  3. 7

    Drain and Serve

Once cooked, remove the egg rolls from the oil and place them on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil. Serve hot with Creole BBQ sauce for dipping.
