For the BLT Assembly

Method

For the Blackened Salmon

  1. 1

    Prepare the Salmon

Pat the salmon fillets dry with a paper towel. Rub the blackening seasoning evenly over both sides of the salmon fillets.

  2. 2

    Cook the Salmon

In a skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the salmon fillets skin-side down. Cook for about 3-4 minutes until blackened and cooked halfway through. Flip and cook for another 3-4 minutes until cooked through and flaky.

For the Lemon Aioli

  1. 3

    Make the Aioli

In a small bowl, combine the mayonnaise, lemon juice, minced garlic, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until smooth and creamy. Adjust seasoning to taste.

For the BLT Assembly

  1. 4

    Cook the Bacon

In a skillet, cook the bacon strips over medium heat until crispy. Drain on paper towels.

  2. 5

    Assemble the BLT

Toast the marble rye bread slices until golden brown. On one slice of bread, spread a generous amount of lemon aioli. Add a layer of leafy lettuce, followed by the blackened salmon fillet, crispy bacon, and tomato slices. Top with another slice of bread. Repeat with remaining ingredients to create additional sandwiches.
