Preparation
- 1
Mix the Patty Ingredients
In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground Andouille sausage and ground beef. Add garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, black pepper, salt, Worcestershire sauce, and chopped parsley. Mix thoroughly until all ingredients are well incorporated.
- 2
Form Patties
Divide the mixture into four equal portions and shape each portion into a patty, approximately 3/4 inch thick. Make a slight indentation in the center of each patty to prevent them from puffing up while cooking.
Cooking
- 3
Heat the Oil
In a large skillet, heat vegetable oil over medium-high heat. Ensure the oil is hot but not smoking.
- 4
Cook the Patties
Add the formed patties to the skillet and cook for about 5-6 minutes on each side, or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C) and the patties are nicely browned.
- 5
Assemble the Burgers
Once cooked, remove the patties from the skillet and let them rest for a few minutes. Place each patty on a bun, topped with lettuce, a slice of tomato, and pickles. Serve immediately.
