Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Aioli

In a bowl, combine mayonnaise, minced garlic, lemon juice, and a pinch of salt. Mix well and refrigerate until serving.

  2. 2

    Prepare the Calamari

In a bowl, season the flour with salt and black pepper. Dredge the calamari rings in the flour, shaking off excess.

  3. 3

    Coat the Calamari

Dip the floured calamari into a bowl of jalapeno oil, then coat it thoroughly with panko breadcrumbs.

  4. 4

    Fry the Calamari

In a deep skillet or fryer, heat oil to 350°F (175°C). Fry the calamari in batches until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes per batch. Remove and drain on paper towels.

  5. 5

    Sauté the Peppers

In the same skillet, add sliced red and green bell peppers and sauté for 3-4 minutes until slightly tender.

  6. 6

    Serve

Plate the fried calamari with sautéed peppers and a side of lemon aioli. Garnish with chopped parsley.
