Peach Cobbler Ingredients

Method

Preparation Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Peaches

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Peel, pit, and slice the fresh peaches. In a large bowl, combine the sliced peaches with half of the sugar (1/2 cup) and set aside to let them macerate.

  2. 2

    Make the Batter

In another bowl, mix together the flour, remaining sugar (1/2 cup), baking powder, salt, milk, melted butter, ground cinnamon, and vanilla extract until well combined. The batter will be thick.

  3. 3

    Combine and Bake

Pour the batter into a greased 9x13 inch baking dish. Evenly distribute the macerated peaches over the batter. Bake in the preheated oven for 45-50 minutes or until the top is golden brown and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

  4. 4

    Serve

Allow the cobbler to cool slightly before serving. Serve warm, optionally with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or whipped cream.
