Method

Preparation and Cooking

1

Prepare the Potatoes

Wash and peel the Russet potatoes. Cut them into evenly sized fries, about 1/4 inch thick. Rinse the cut fries in cold water to remove excess starch.

2

Soak the Fries

Soak the cut fries in cold water for at least 30 minutes to help achieve crispiness.

3

Dry the Fries

Drain the fries and pat them dry with paper towels to remove any excess moisture.

4

Heat the Oil

In a deep pot or fryer, heat the vegetable oil to 350°F (175°C).

5

Fry the Potatoes

Carefully add the fries to the hot oil in batches, frying them for about 5-7 minutes or until golden and crispy. Remove them with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels.

6

Season the Fries

While the fries are still hot, sprinkle them with Cajun seasoning and salt. Toss to coat evenly.

7

Garnish and Serve

Transfer the seasoned fries to a serving platter, garnish with fresh parsley, and serve hot.
