Coke (Classic Served Cold)

For a Cuban-style (Cola with Fresh Lime) — optional

For a Float (optional)

Method

Coke (Classic Served Cold)

1

Chill the glass: place the glass in the refrigerator for 10–15 minutes or rub ice around the inside and discard the water. A chilled glass keeps the soda colder and less fizzy loss.

2

Add ice: fill the chilled glass with 1 cup of fresh ice cubes, leaving about 1 inch (2–3 cm) of headspace at the top for pouring.

3

Pour the cola: slowly pour 12 oz of chilled Coca-Cola down the side of the glass to preserve carbonation and reduce foaming. Stop when the cola reaches just below the rim.

4

Garnish (optional): squeeze a lime wedge over the surface if desired, then drop the wedge into the glass. Add a maraschino cherry on top if you like.

5

Serve immediately: provide a straw or stirrer. Enjoy while cold to appreciate the fizz and flavor.

Cuban-style (Cola with Fresh Lime) — optional

6

If making the lime variation, add 1 tsp fresh lime juice to the glass before pouring the cola. Stir gently once after pouring to incorporate the juice without flattening the soda.

7

Garnish with a lime wheel or wedge on the rim.

Float (optional)

8

For a float, add 2 scoops of vanilla ice cream to the chilled glass instead of ice. Slowly pour 12 oz chilled cola over the ice cream. Serve immediately with a long spoon and straw.
