Garlic Mashed Potatoes

Method

Steak Preparation

  1. 1

    Preheat the Grill

Preheat your grill to high heat (about 450°F to 500°F).

  2. 2

    Season the Steak

Rub the ribeye steak with olive oil, then season generously with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and fresh rosemary on both sides.

  3. 3

    Grill the Steak

Place the seasoned ribeye steak on the grill. Grill for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or until your desired doneness is reached.

  4. 4

    Rest the Steak

Remove the steak from the grill and let it rest for 5-10 minutes before slicing.

Garlic Mashed Potatoes Preparation

  1. 5

    Prepare the Potatoes

Peel the potatoes and cut them into quarters. Place them in a large pot and cover with cold water.

  2. 6

    Boil the Potatoes

Add a pinch of salt to the pot and bring the water to a boil. Cook the potatoes for about 15-20 minutes or until fork-tender.

  3. 7

    Cook the Garlic

While the potatoes are boiling, peel and crush the garlic cloves. In a small saucepan, melt 2 tablespoons of butter and add the garlic. Sauté over low heat until golden and fragrant.

  4. 8

    Mash the Potatoes

Once the potatoes are done, drain them and return them to the pot. Add the sautéed garlic, remaining butter, heavy cream, salt, and black pepper. Mash until smooth and creamy.
