Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Pork

Pat the pork shoulder dry with paper towels. Rub the entire surface with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika. Let it sit at room temperature for about 30 minutes.

  2. 2

    Chop the Onion

Peel and thinly slice the large onion. Set aside for later use.

Cooking

  1. 3

    Cook the Pork

Place the seasoned pork shoulder in a slow cooker. Add the sliced onion on top of the pork. Pour the Carolina Gold BBQ sauce over the pork and onions. Cover and cook on low for 8 hours, or until the pork is tender and easily shredded.

  2. 4

    Shred the Pork

Once the pork is cooked, remove it from the slow cooker and place it on a large cutting board. Use two forks to shred the pork into bite-sized pieces.

Assembly

  1. 5

    Assemble the Sliders

Place a generous amount of the pulled pork on the bottom half of each slider bun. Top with additional Carolina Gold BBQ sauce if desired, then close with the top half of the bun.
