Crab Cakes

Remoulade Sauce

Method

Crab Cakes Preparation

  1. 1

    Combine Ingredients

In a large bowl, gently mix together the crab meat, breadcrumbs, mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, chopped green onions, beaten egg, Old Bay seasoning, salt, and black pepper until well incorporated.

  2. 2

    Form the Cakes

Using your hands, form the mixture into patties, about 2 inches in diameter and 1 inch thick. Place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

  3. 3

    Chill

Cover the baking sheet with plastic wrap and refrigerate the crab cakes for at least 30 minutes to help them firm up.

  4. 4

    Cook the Crab Cakes

Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Once hot, carefully add the crab cakes to the skillet and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and crispy.

Remoulade Sauce Preparation

  1. 5

    Mix Ingredients

In a small bowl, combine the mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, chopped capers, lemon juice, paprika, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until smooth.

  2. 6

    Chill the Sauce

Refrigerate the remoulade sauce for at least 15 minutes before serving to allow the flavors to meld together.
