Preparation Steps
- 1
Prepare the French Toast
In a large bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, cinnamon, and a pinch of salt. Slice the French bread into thick slices. Heat a skillet over medium heat and melt 1 tablespoon of butter. Dip each slice of bread in the egg mixture, allowing them to soak briefly, then place in the skillet. Cook until golden brown on both sides, about 3-4 minutes per side. Remove from skillet and keep warm.

- 3
Fry the Bananas
Slice the bananas into thick rounds. In the same skillet, add another tablespoon of butter and fry the banana slices for about 2-3 minutes on each side until golden. Remove and set aside.
- 4
Make the Bourbon Maple Glaze
In a small saucepan, combine maple syrup and bourbon. Heat over low heat until warm and slightly thickened, about 5 minutes.
- 5
Assemble the Dish
Spread a generous layer of peanut butter on each slice of French toast. Top with crispy bacon and fried bananas. Drizzle the bourbon maple glaze over the top and dust with powdered sugar before serving.
