Main Ingredients

Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Chill the Champagne

Place the bottle of Champagne or sparkling wine in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours before serving, or in an ice bucket for 30 minutes.

  2. 2

    Juice the Oranges

If using fresh oranges, cut them in half and use a juicer to extract the juice until you have about 2 cups of fresh orange juice. Strain the juice to remove pulp if desired.

Mixing the Mimosa

  1. 3

    Combine Ingredients

In a large pitcher, combine the fresh orange juice with the chilled Champagne or sparkling wine. Pour gently to avoid excessive fizzing.

  2. 4

    Optional Additions

If desired, add a teaspoon of grenadine to the mixture for a touch of sweetness and color.

Serving

  1. 5

    Garnish and Serve

Pour the mimosa mixture into champagne flutes. Garnish with an orange slice on the rim and mint leaves, if using. Serve immediately.
