Method

Preparation of Vegetables

  1. 1

    Prepare the Romaine Lettuce

Wash the romaine lettuce under cold water. Remove the core and tear the leaves into bite-sized pieces. Place them in a large salad bowl.

  2. 2

    Cut the Cherry Tomatoes

Rinse the cherry tomatoes and cut them in half. Add them to the salad bowl with the romaine lettuce.

  3. 3

    Slice the Cucumber

Peel the cucumber if desired, then slice it into thin rounds. Add the cucumber slices to the salad bowl.

  4. 4

    Chop the Bell Pepper

Remove the seeds and stem from the bell pepper, then chop it into bite-sized pieces. Add to the salad bowl.

  5. 5

    Slice the Red Onion

Peel and thinly slice the red onion. If desired, rinse the slices under cold water to reduce the sharpness. Add to the salad bowl.

  1. 6

    Add Feta Cheese

Crumble the feta cheese and sprinkle it over the salad.

  2. 7

Pit and slice the olives if necessary, then add them to the salad.

  3. 8

    Add Sunflower Seeds

Sprinkle the sunflower seeds over the top of the salad.

    Mix the Dressing Ingredients

In a small bowl, whisk together the olive oil, balsamic vinegar, honey, salt, and black pepper until well combined.
