Wonton Filling

Method

Wonton Preparation

1

Prepare the Filling

In a large bowl, combine ground pork, chopped shrimp, minced garlic, green onions, soy sauce, sesame oil, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well combined.

2

Assemble the Wontons

Place a wonton wrapper on a clean surface. Spoon about 1 tablespoon of the filling mixture into the center of the wrapper. Dampen the edges with water, fold the wrapper in half diagonally to create a triangle, and press the edges to seal. Optionally, you can gather the corners of the triangle and twist to create a more decorative shape.

3

Fry the Wontons

Heat oil in a deep pan over medium heat. Once hot, carefully add the wontons in batches, frying until golden brown and crispy, about 3-4 minutes on each side. Remove with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels.

4

Serve

Serve the crispy wontons hot with sweet chili sauce on the side for dipping.
