Cocktail

Method

Cocktail

1

Prepare the cocktail

Add 2 oz reposado tequila, 1 oz Cointreau, 1 oz fresh lime juice, 0.5 oz fresh yuzu juice, 0.5 tbs agave nectar, and 0.5 oz dry sherry into a cocktail shaker.

2

Fill the shaker with about 1 cup of ice, cap it, and shake vigorously for 12–15 seconds until the outside of the shaker is well chilled.

3

Double-strain the cocktail into a chilled coupe or rocks glass over fresh ice (or neat into a chilled coupe) using both the shaker strainer and a fine mesh strainer to remove ice shards and any pulp.

Garnish & Rim

4

Salt-sesame rim (optional)

On a small plate combine 0.5 tsp kosher salt and 0.5 tsp toasted sesame seeds. Moisten the glass rim with the lime wedge, then dip the rim lightly into the salt-sesame mixture to coat about half to three-quarters of the rim.

5

Garnish the cocktail with the lime wheel or wedge on the rim. Serve immediately.
