Method
Toast
Prepare bread
If using a whole loaf, cut 4 thick slices (about 1 to 1-1/4 inches / 2.5–3 cm). If desired, use a small pull-apart cube center for presentation by cutting a shallow square (optional). Pat slices dry with a paper towel if slightly moist.
Butter and honey dressing
While the toast is still hot, spread 1/2 tablespoon of unsalted butter evenly over each slice (total 2 tbs for 4 slices). If using salted butter is preferred, omit the extra pinch of salt. Immediately drizzle honey evenly over each buttered slice (about 3/4 tbs honey per slice). If you like a more concentrated honey flavor, warm the honey for 5–10 seconds in the microwave to make drizzling easier.
Toppings & Finish
Plate and add ice cream
Place 1 buttered-and-honeyed toast slice on each dessert plate (if serving fewer people, serve 2 slices per plate). Top each slice with 1 scoop of today's flavor ice cream (place scoop at center so it sits on the warm toast). If presentation calls for two scoops per portion, arrange both scoops side-by-side or stacked depending on plate size.
Add optional toppings
Sprinkle toasted sliced almonds or chopped nuts over the ice cream (about 1/2 tsp per slice) and scatter a few fresh berries or banana slices around the plate for freshness. Add mint leaves as a garnish.
Serve immediately
Drizzle a little extra honey over the ice cream and toast if desired. Serve immediately so the ice cream contrasts with the warm honeyed toast. Note: for the signature experience, keep the toast warm and the ice cream well-scooped and cold.
