Add the taco seasoning mix and water to the skillet. Stir until the meat is evenly coated with the seasoning. Bring to a simmer and cook for another 5 minutes until the mixture thickens slightly.
Prepare Taco Shells

Warm Soft Shells
In a microwave or on a skillet, warm the soft taco shells for about 30 seconds or until they are pliable.

Crisp Hard Shells
If using hard taco shells, preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and place the shells on a baking sheet. Bake for 5-7 minutes until crispy.
Assemble Tacos
- 5
Fill Shells
Take a taco shell and fill it with the cooked meat mixture. Be generous!
- 6

Top the tacos with shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, shredded cheese, sour cream, sliced jalapeños, and guacamole as desired.
