Method
Preparing the Shrimp
Cook the Shrimp
Once boiling, add the jumbo shrimp to the pot. Cook for 2-3 minutes, or until the shrimp are pink and opaque. Do not overcook.
Chill the Shrimp
Remove the pot from heat and drain the shrimp in a colander. Rinse under cold water to stop the cooking process. Transfer to the refrigerator to chill for at least 30 minutes.
Making the Cocktail Sauce
Mix the Ingredients
In a medium bowl, combine ketchup, horseradish, lemon juice, Worcestershire sauce, and Tabasco sauce. Stir until well blended.
Season the Sauce
Add salt to taste and mix again. Adjust the level of horseradish or Tabasco sauce based on your spice preference.
Serving
Plate the Shrimp
Arrange the chilled shrimp on a serving platter.
Serve with Sauce
Serve the shrimp alongside the house-made cocktail sauce for dipping.
