Preparation
Scoop Ice Cream
Using an ice cream scoop, place 1 cup of either vanilla or chocolate ice cream into a tall glass.
Pour Root Beer
Slowly pour 1 cup of root beer over the ice cream, allowing the foam to rise.
Add More Ice Cream
If desired, add an additional scoop of ice cream on top.
Top with Whipped Cream
Add a generous dollop of whipped cream on top of the float.
Garnish
Place a maraschino cherry on top of the whipped cream for garnish.
