Fried Chicken Sandwich Ingredients
Method
Fried Chicken Sandwich Directions
- 1
Marinate the Chicken
In a bowl, combine buttermilk, paprika, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Add chicken breasts, ensuring they are fully submerged. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour or overnight for best results.
- 2
Prepare the Slaw
In a large bowl, mix together the shredded cabbage, shredded carrot, and mayonnaise. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Set aside in the refrigerator.
- 3
Dredge the Chicken
In another bowl, place the flour. Remove chicken from the marinade, allowing excess to drip off. Dredge each piece in flour, ensuring an even coating.
- 4
Fry the Chicken
Heat oil in a deep skillet or fryer to 350°F (175°C). Carefully place the dredged chicken in the hot oil and fry for about 6-8 minutes on each side or until golden brown and cooked through. Remove and drain on paper towels.
- 5
Make the Spicy Aioli
In a small bowl, combine mayonnaise and hot sauce. Mix well and adjust the heat level to taste.
- 6
Assemble the Sandwich
Toast the ciabatta rolls lightly. Spread spicy aioli on the bottom half, place the fried chicken on top, and add a generous scoop of cabbage slaw. Top with the other half of the ciabatta roll.
- 7
Serve
Serve the fried chicken sandwich with your choice of fries, fruit, or salad on the side.
