Fries Ingredients

Method

Fries Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Potatoes

Peel the potatoes and cut them into thin strips or wedges, depending on your preferred fry shape.

  2. 2

    Soak the Potatoes

Place the cut potatoes in a bowl of cold water and let them soak for at least 30 minutes to remove excess starch.

  3. 3

    Dry the Potatoes

Drain the soaked potatoes and pat them dry with a clean kitchen towel.

  4. 4

    Heat the Oil

In a large pot or deep fryer, heat the vegetable oil to 350°F (175°C).

  5. 5

    Fry the Potatoes

Carefully add the potatoes to the hot oil in batches, frying until they are golden brown and crispy, about 5-7 minutes per batch.

  6. 6

    Drain and Season

Remove the fries from the oil and place them on paper towels to drain. While still hot, season with salt, pepper, and paprika to taste.

  7. 7

    Serve

Serve the fries hot, with your favorite dipping sauce.
