Shrimp Skewers
Horseradish Aioli
Method
Shrimp Skewers
Prepare Marinade
In a large bowl, combine olive oil, garlic powder, paprika, salt, black pepper, and lemon juice. Mix well to create a marinade for the shrimp.
Marinate Shrimp
Add the peeled and deveined shrimp to the marinade and toss to coat evenly. Cover the bowl and refrigerate for 30 minutes to allow the shrimp to marinate.
Soak Skewers
While the shrimp is marinating, soak the skewers in water for about 15 minutes to prevent burning on the grill.
Prepare Skewers
Preheat the grill to medium heat. Thread the marinated shrimp onto the soaked skewers, about 4-5 shrimp per skewer.
Grill Shrimp
Place the skewers on the grill and cook for about 2-3 minutes on each side, or until the shrimp are opaque and cooked through.
Rest Skewers
Once cooked, remove the skewers from the grill and let them rest for a few minutes before serving.
Horseradish Aioli
Mix Aioli
In a medium bowl, combine mayonnaise, prepared horseradish, lemon juice, and minced garlic. Stir until smooth.
Season Aioli
Season the aioli with salt and black pepper to taste, adjusting as necessary.
Chill Aioli
Transfer the horseradish aioli to a serving bowl and refrigerate until ready to serve with the shrimp skewers.
