Preparation

Prepare the Ingredients
Gather all the ingredients: marble rye bread, Swiss cheese, corned beef, sauerkraut, Thousand Island dressing, and unsalted butter.
Assembly

Assemble the Sandwich
Take two slices of marble rye bread. Spread 2 tablespoons of Thousand Island dressing on one side of each slice.

Layer the Ingredients
On one slice of bread (dressing side up), layer 4 ounces of corned beef, followed by 1 cup of drained sauerkraut, and then 4 slices of Swiss cheese.

Complete the Sandwich
Top with the second slice of bread, dressing side down.
Grilling

Butter the Bread
Spread 1 tablespoon of unsalted butter on the top of the sandwich.

Flip and Grill
Spread the remaining 1 tablespoon of butter on the top of the sandwich. Carefully flip the sandwich and grill the other side for another 4-5 minutes until golden brown and the cheese has melted.
Serving

Slice and Serve
Remove the sandwich from the skillet, let it cool for a minute, then slice in half. Serve warm.
