Brownie Ingredients

Method

Brownie Directions

  1. 1

    Preheat the Oven

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x13 inch baking pan.

  2. 2

    Prepare the Batter

In a saucepan over medium heat, combine the Guinness and butter. Stir until the butter is melted. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.

  3. 3

    Mix Sugars and Eggs

In a large bowl, whisk together granulated sugar, brown sugar, and cooled Guinness mixture. Add eggs one at a time, whisking well after each addition. Stir in vanilla extract.

  4. 4

    Combine Dry Ingredients

In another bowl, sift together flour, cocoa powder, and salt. Gradually fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined.

  5. 5

    Add Chocolate Chips

Fold in the chocolate chips until evenly distributed in the batter.

  6. 6

    Bake

Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and spread evenly. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.

  7. 7

    Cool and Serve

Allow brownies to cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack. Serve warm topped with chocolate sauce and a scoop of vanilla bean ice cream.
