Preparation Steps

1

Prepare the Coffee

In a cezve (traditional Turkish coffee pot), combine the finely ground coffee, sugar, and water. If desired, add a pinch of cardamom for extra flavor.

2

Heat the Mixture

Place the cezve on low heat and stir gently to combine the ingredients. Do not stir once it starts heating.

3

Bring to a Boil

As the mixture heats, it will begin to froth. Keep a close eye on it to avoid overflowing. Just before it boils, remove it from the heat.

4

Serve

Pour the coffee into small cups, ensuring to leave the grounds in the cezve. Allow the coffee to settle for a minute before serving.
