Method

Prepare the Special Sauce

  1. 1

    Mix the Sauce Ingredients

In a small bowl, combine mayonnaise, ketchup, Dijon mustard, and finely chopped pickles. Mix well until smooth and set aside.

Make the Burger Patties

  1. 2

    Combine Ingredients

In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground turkey, breadcrumbs, egg, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix until just combined; do not overmix.

  2. 3

    Form Patties

Divide the turkey mixture into two equal portions and shape them into burger patties, about 1 inch thick.

Cook the Burger Patties

  1. 4

    Heat the Grill or Pan

Preheat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Lightly grease the grill or pan with cooking spray or oil.

  2. 5

    Cook the Patties

Place the patties on the grill or pan and cook for about 5-7 minutes on each side, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).

Assemble the Burger

  1. 6

    Toast the Buns

If desired, lightly toast the burger buns on the grill or in a toaster while the patties are cooking.

  2. 7

    Add Toppings

On the bottom half of each bun, place a lettuce leaf, followed by the cooked turkey patty, a slice of tomato, and a generous dollop of the special sauce. Top with the other half of the bun.
