Method
Cooking Pasta
- 1
Boil the Pasta
Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the fettuccine pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente, usually about 8-10 minutes. Stir occasionally to prevent sticking.
- 2
Drain the Pasta
Once cooked, drain the pasta in a colander and set aside. Reserve a cup of pasta water for later use.
Grilling Chicken
- 3
Prepare the Chicken
While the pasta is cooking, season the chicken breasts with olive oil, salt, and black pepper on both sides.
- 4
Grill the Chicken
Preheat a grill or grill pan over medium-high heat. Grill the chicken for about 6-7 minutes on each side, or until cooked through and no longer pink in the center. Remove from heat and let rest for 5 minutes before slicing.
Making Alfredo Sauce
- 5
Melt the Butter
In a large skillet over medium heat, melt the butter until bubbly.
- 6
Add Cream and Garlic
Pour in the heavy cream and add the minced garlic. Bring to a gentle simmer, stirring occasionally.
- 7
Add Cheese and Seasonings
Gradually whisk in the grated Parmesan cheese until melted and smooth. Season with salt and black pepper to taste.
Combining Ingredients
- 8
Combine Pasta and Sauce
Add the cooked fettuccine to the Alfredo sauce in the skillet. Toss gently to coat the pasta with the sauce. If the sauce is too thick, add a little reserved pasta water to reach desired consistency.
- 9
Add Chicken
Slice the grilled chicken and arrange it on top of the pasta. Garnish with chopped parsley.
