Taco Meat
Nachos
Method
Prepare Taco Meat
- 1
Cook the Ground Beef
In a large skillet over medium heat, add the ground beef. Cook, breaking it apart with a spatula, until browned and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes.
- 2
Add Taco Seasoning
Drain excess fat from the skillet. Add taco seasoning and water to the cooked beef. Stir to combine.
- 3
Simmer
Let the mixture simmer for about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the sauce thickens. Remove from heat and set aside.
Assemble Nachos
- 4
Preheat Oven
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- 5
Layer Tortilla Chips
On a large baking sheet or oven-safe platter, spread out the tortilla chips in an even layer.
- 6
Add Taco Meat
Evenly distribute the taco meat over the tortilla chips.
- 7
Sprinkle Cheese
Generously sprinkle the shredded cheese over the taco meat.
- 8
Add Jalapenos
Top with sliced jalapenos, ensuring they are evenly distributed.
- 9
Bake
Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake for about 10-15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- 10
Top with Pico de Gallo
Remove the nachos from the oven and top with fresh pico de gallo immediately before serving.
