Steak Marinade

Method

Steak Preparation

  1. 1

    Marinate the Steak

In a bowl, mix olive oil, lime juice, minced garlic, cumin, chili powder, salt, and black pepper. Add the flank steak, ensuring it's well coated. Cover and marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes, or up to 2 hours for more flavor.

  2. 2

    Grill the Steak

Preheat a grill or grill pan over medium-high heat. Remove the steak from the marinade and grill for about 5-7 minutes per side, or until the desired doneness is reached. Remove from heat and let it rest for 5 minutes before slicing into thin strips.

Burrito Assembly

  1. 3

    Prepare the Tortillas

Warm the flour tortillas in a dry skillet over medium heat for about 30 seconds on each side until they are soft and pliable.

  2. 4

    Fill the Burritos

On each tortilla, layer about 1/4 cup of cooked rice, 1/4 cup of black beans, a few slices of grilled steak, a handful of shredded cheese, and a sprinkle of chopped cilantro.

  3. 5

    Wrap the Burritos

Fold the sides of the tortilla inward and then roll from the bottom up to form a tight burrito. Repeat with remaining tortillas and fillings.

Salsa Preparation

  1. 6

    Mix the Salsa

In a bowl, combine the diced tomatoes, red onion, minced jalapeño, lime juice, salt, and chopped cilantro. Mix until well combined.

Serving

  1. 7

    Serve the Burritos

Cut the burritos in half and serve with the fresh salsa on the side for dipping.
