Preparation

  1. 1

    Cook the Noodles

In a large pot of boiling water, cook the chow mein noodles according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

  2. 2

    Marinate the Beef

In a bowl, combine the sliced beef with soy sauce, cornstarch, and sesame oil. Mix well and let it marinate for at least 15 minutes.

Cooking

  1. 3

    Stir-fry the Beef

In a large skillet or wok, heat a tablespoon of oil over high heat. Add the marinated beef and stir-fry for about 2-3 minutes until browned. Remove the beef from the skillet and set aside.

  2. 4

    Cook the Vegetables

In the same skillet, add a bit more oil if necessary. Add the garlic, ginger, bell pepper, carrot, and snow peas. Stir-fry for about 3-4 minutes until the vegetables are tender-crisp.

  3. 5

    Combine Everything

Return the beef to the skillet with the vegetables. Add the cooked chow mein noodles, oyster sauce, chicken broth, and black pepper. Toss everything together and stir-fry for another 2-3 minutes until heated through.

Serving

  1. 6

    Garnish and Serve

Remove from heat and sprinkle with sesame seeds and chopped cilantro. Serve hot and enjoy your Beef Chow Mein!
