Method

Steak Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Steak

Take the ribeye steaks out of the refrigerator and let them come to room temperature for about 30 minutes.

  2. 2

    Season the Steak

Rub each steak with olive oil, then season generously with garlic powder, salt, and black pepper on both sides.

  3. 3

    Grill the Steak

Preheat your grill to medium-high heat. Once hot, place the steaks on the grill and cook for 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or until desired doneness is achieved.

  4. 4

    Rest the Steak

Remove the steaks from the grill and let them rest for about 5 minutes before slicing.

Fries Preparation

  1. 5

    Prepare the Potatoes

Peel the russet potatoes and cut them into thin strips to create fries.

  2. 6

    Soak the Fries

Soak the cut fries in cold water for at least 30 minutes to remove excess starch. After soaking, drain and pat them dry with a paper towel.

  3. 7

    Heat the Oil

In a large pot or deep fryer, heat the vegetable oil to 350°F (175°C).

  4. 8

    Fry the Potatoes

Carefully add the fries in batches to the hot oil and fry for about 5-7 minutes or until golden brown. Remove with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels.

  5. 9

    Season the Fries

While the fries are still hot, sprinkle with salt to taste.
