Budino
Prepare the Milk Mixture
In a medium saucepan, combine the whole milk, heavy cream, honey, granulated sugar, and salt. Heat over medium heat until just steaming but not boiling.
Whisk Egg Yolks
In a separate bowl, whisk together the egg yolks, cornstarch, and vanilla extract until smooth.
Cook the Budino
Continue to cook the mixture over medium heat, stirring constantly, until it thickens and coats the back of a spoon, about 5-7 minutes.
Chill
Remove from heat, pour into serving dishes, and refrigerate for at least 2 hours or until set.
Whipped Cream
Whip the Cream
In a mixing bowl, combine heavy cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract. Using a hand mixer or stand mixer, whip until soft peaks form.
Chill
Cover and refrigerate until ready to serve.
Honey Tuile
Prepare the Oven
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Melt Ingredients
In a saucepan over low heat, combine the granulated sugar, honey, and butter. Stir until melted and smooth.
Mix Dry Ingredients
In a bowl, whisk together the flour and salt.
Combine Mixtures
Pour the melted mixture into the dry ingredients and mix until well combined.
Shape the Tuiles
Drop small spoonfuls of the mixture onto the prepared baking sheet, spreading them out thinly into circles.
Bake
Bake in the preheated oven for 6-8 minutes or until the edges are golden brown.
Cool and Shape
Remove from the oven and let cool for a minute, then carefully lift and shape the tuiles over a rolling pin or mold for a curved effect.
